I Love Living Life. I Am Happy.

Nick Vujicic and his attitude serve as a great examples of the celebration of life over limitations.

The human spirit can handle much more than we realize.

"I LOVE LIVING LIFE. I AM HAPPY."

---------------------------------------- ------------------------

Think you've got it bad?
Need some encouragement?
Fallen down?
Can't find the STRENGTH to get back up?

Watch this video. It will help. Then share it with others.

---------------------------------------- ------------------------

"If I fail, I try again, and again, and again..."
If YOU fail, are YOU going to try again?

It matters how you're going to FINISH...
Are you going to finish STRONG?

We are put in situations to build our character... not destroy us.

The tensions in our life are there to strengthen our convictions... not to run over us.

---------------------------------------- ------------------------

Nick is thankful for what he HAS.
He's not bitter for what he does NOT have.

I have never met a bitter person who was thankful.
I have never met a thankful person who was bitter.

In life you have a choice: Bitter or BETTER?

There will be no need for a slow-motion replay to confirm this record-breaking feat.

Schoolgirl Tiana Walton has slithered into the record books - for having the most snails on her face at once.

Nine-year-old Tiana, who loves animals, bravely allowed 25 of the slimy creatures to cover her eyes, nose and mouth.
Schoolgirl smashes the world record

Snails face: Tania smashed the previous record of 15 snails set in Australia while the most she had had on her face before was nine.

She smashed the previous record of 15, held by Australian Liam Kenny, and her unusual feat will appear in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Her previous personal best was just nine.

The rules state that competitors have just one minute to put the snails on their face before tipping their head forward for 10 seconds.

Tiana, of Alvanley, Cheshire, said: "I am not squeamish. It is relaxing but it feels a bit cold. They are quite smelly and you can see their big long eyes facing you. I think my friends at school will say 'urgh'."

Local vet Ken Robinson witnessed the attempt and ensured no snails were harmed. He said: "It is a superb achievement and all the snails have been treated to a gourmet meal."

Tiana said her next ambition is to become an Olympic gymnast.

Setting records runs in the family as Tiana’s mother, Tommy, herself appeared in the Guinness Book Of World Records in 1980 for growing the largest lemon in the world weighing 3Ib 14oz..

A CHOCOLATE fan has taken the biscuit after finding an image of Jesus in a KitKat.

The astonishing vision emerged on Good Friday after a website called for oddball religious discoveries.

The finder told Dutch news site NU.nl: "I was amazed. I just took a bite and then I saw the face of Christ in it."

Other witnesses were less impressed. "It looks more like Darth Vader," said one.

Two trends are tying the knot: adventure travel and destination weddings. For some, a Caribbean beachfront wedding -- long the staple of destination nuptials -- has grown too tame. Too common.

"Couples are looking for any type of way to be original," said WeddingChannel.com senior editor Christa Vagnozzi. "They really want to showcase their style and originality."

So, while one in 10 couples now plans a destination wedding, according to a 2007 survey by WeddingChannel.com, a select crop of them are adding adventure to their nuptials, with ceremonies underwater, on skis and glaciers, in the stratosphere and the African bush.

1) Underwater wedding
Underwater Wedding
Anse Chastanet Resort on St. Lucia will bring your wedding under the sea for a $350 surcharge.

And the couples Troubetzkoy has helped get married below the surface of the Caribbean have all been young scuba diving enthusiasts.

The tricky part is getting the registrar to the site of the ceremony.
Underwater Wedding
"The registrars here are all a little more mature," she said carefully, adding that Anse Chastanet has put in a request to the government to employ a more "fit" registrar to accommodate the resort's more daring wedding itineraries.

For that reason, scuba brides and grooms are legally married either on the boat deck or the beach in the presence of the registrar, then slap on their oxygen tanks and dive masks and repeat the ceremony under the sea -- with the aid of slates, or plastic boards where they can write dialogue in waterproof pen.

The basic wedding package at Anse Chastanet is $895, which includes all planning services and legal fees, and the "underwater surcharge" is $350.

2)Thick Ice Wedding
At the other end of North America, in a rural area ouside of Juneau, Alaska, is Pearson's Pond Luxury Inn and Adventure Spa, where owner Diane Pearson marries anywhere from 15 to 30 couples a year on the neighboring glacier.

Bride and groom kiss on the frozen glacier just outside of Juneau, Alaska. Temperatures on the glacier are usually only about 10-15 degrees Fahrenheit cooler than on land.

"I have a passion for love," Pearson said. "And adventure. And glaciers."

Of planning glacier weddings and serving as the officiant herself, she said, "I've been doing it for eight or 10 years now. Glaciers are 100 percent the best, and being on one is one of the coolest things you'll ever do in your life."

Whereas the Caribbean weddings -- underwater and otherwise -- that Troubetzkoy described tend to involve a wedding party of 10 to 30 friends and family, Pearson said her glacier weddings typically are just bride, groom and herself.

"People who choose this don't want anything traditional," she said. "Instead of spending between $30,000 and $60,000 on the ceremony -- which is what an average wedding costs these days -- they can have a great wedding, a honeymoon, a down payment on a house, and not have to deal with all the family issues."

In the package, a helicopter whisks the couple from their luxury suite at Pearson's Pond right to the middle of the glacier. Surprisingly, it's only about 10 to 15 degrees cooler on the glacier than on the ground, Pearson said -- meaning around 55 degrees Fahrenheit for a summer wedding on the glacier.

Depending on the couple's preference, Pearson arranges the reception, cake, champagne, and even the first dance right there on the ice.

3)Safari wedding planner
Of all the adventure travel weddings building steam, Vagnozzi said she suspects the African safari trend is growing the fastest. Maybe that's because there's so much to choose from, starting with which country.
Safari wedding planner

Safari wedding planner Meregan Turner got married in the Kenyan bush herself. Here, Samburu tribe warriors give her away at the ceremony.

Turns out, no matter what time of year you want to get married, somewhere in Africa can be quite accommodating.

"Where it could be raining in May in Kenya, it's a lovely time to go to Botswana," said Meregan Turner of Safari Drive, a London-based company that plans weddings and safaris throughout the African continent.

"Most of the weddings we do are in the bush -- not necessarily in surrounds of the lodge," said Turner, drawing attention to the difference between an African resort wedding and one that's truly in the wild.

"I actually got married in Kenya. We had a ranger to keep elephants away," she said.

Of her own safari wedding, Turner said she was given away by Samburu tribesman, whom she had come to befriend during the time she spent in Kenya.

"They asked me if they could give me away. It was an honor," she said.

In fact, arranging for Samburu warriors to witness a wedding is one of the details she can arrange.

Her team at Safari Drive organizes weddings in remote bush locations in Zambia, Kenya, Namibia and Tanzania. They handle everything from the red tape that ensures your marriage is legal, to the camel on which you depart from the ceremony.

"Our aim is to provide proper weddings that are legal, rather than getting married in the registrar's office and then having a blessing out in the bush," Turner said.

Though it varies, depending on the options a couple may want, the basic cost is about $9,000, Turner estimated, which includes the ceremony itself, reception, any legal fees and the basic honeymoon package.

4)mountaintop wedding
Nearly every ski resort is happy to host a mountain wedding. But a smaller crop of them -- ranging from high-end destinations, like the Arrabelle in Vail, Colo., to surprisingly affordable packages in Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains -- actually offer an option to ski down the aisle, so to speak.
mountaintop wedding

After a mountaintop wedding, these newlyweds prepare to celebrate the moment with a ski downhill

Clad in white gown and classic tux, adventurous brides and grooms seal the "I do" moment with an inaugural downhill ski.

"A lot of people ask about it," said Frankee Love of Blue Ridge Weddings in Virginia. "But most don't end up taking that option."

Why the high interest with little follow-through?

"A lot of times, it seems to be because of family members," Love said, referring to the pressure to plan a more traditional wedding.

Love, who has organized snowboarder weddings, as well, said it's usual for the entire wedding party to follow the bridal couple down the slope. But, apparently, that's less common on Vail Mountain.

Rock Resort's John Dawsey helps make weddings possible at a number of resorts on Vail Mountain, including the Arrabelle at Vail Square, where couples can ski right into their reception.

Despite that option, Dawsey said, "More couples get married in summer here than winter. Either way, we have the Wedding Deck that overlooks Holy Cross to the west. It's a naturally carved cross into the landscape below -- very spiritual."

This Wedding Deck is 9,500 feet up on a peak called Eagle's Nest, and can be reserved through several resorts surrounding Vail Mountain, Dawsey said.

While packages in Vail vary greatly, depending which property you choose for your reception and stay, the basic package at Blue Ridge Weddings is $1,025.

5)balloon weddings
Mike Kijak has been flying hot air balloons through California's Sonoma Valley for 15 years.
balloon weddings

Though the wedding party is limited to eight, the sky is the limit for hot air balloon weddings at Up and Away in Sonoma Valley. Owner Mike Kijak, center, pilots the balloon and performs the ceremony.

"You would hear about it," he said of hot air balloon weddings. "It's marriage proposals we'd see a lot of. Then one day someone asked, 'Can you marry us?' And I thought, 'Sure, why not?'"

So, Kijak looked into it and can now legally marry couples in the state of California. Of course, he's also flying the balloon, so ceremonies stay relatively simple.

"We have an average of five [weddings] a year, and 80 percent of them are just the bride, groom and me up there. But we have a balloon that can fly six people, and one that can take eight to 10 people," he said.

Though the weddings are simple, they have a personal touch. The whole affair is managed by Kijak and his wife, who handles the cake, flowers and post-wedding brunch at Sonoma's nearby Kendall-Jackson Winery.

"It's for couples interested in doing something completely different. And it's probably one of the most relaxing things you'll do in your whole life," said Kijak, who has a perfect record with not one accident in 15 years.

Wedding packages at Up and Away, Kijak's company, run $950, which covers the 75- to 90-minute flight, ceremony, cake, flowers and winery brunch.

6)Bungee Wedding
A couple married 150 feet in the air before celebrating with a kiss at the end of a bungee jump.
Bungee Wedding

Sandra Eens and Jeroen Kippers, both 25, became the first people in the world to marry suspended high above the ground in a specially converted cradle.

They were watched by 10 close friends and relatives as they took their vows in front of a minister before going over the side and locking lips upside down.

Directly below them was the marquee where the party then enjoyed a wedding reception.

The pair paid over £7,000 for the privilege of being the first customers of new company Marriage in the Sky.

Company spokesman David Ghysels said: "The bungee jump was the first step in their new lives."

He added: "We want to provide our clients with the most exclusive experiences imaginable.

"The sky is a dream that has always fascinated human beings. Today, people want to have extraordinary experiences, each dreaming of something different to their neighbour."

The wedding service is offered by Belgian company Meeting in the Sky which was formed to give companies or private individuals the opportunity to organise a product presentation, a conference, a concert or a meeting for up to 30 guests, strapped into aircraft seats on a specially constructed platform hoisted up by crane.

David added: "Marriage in the Sky which offers couples the opportunity to get married just as they would in church with priests, witnesses, families and friends, an organ...but in the clouds among the angels at 50 meters high.

"In this case the 10 central seats are removed to create an aisle along which the newly married couple walks between their guests."

He said couples could enjoy the experience at top locations around the world including the Grand Canyon or even Tower Bridge.

7)Roller coaster Wedding
Add some speed and exhilaration to your wedding by saying “I do” on a roller coaster.

Whether you choose a crazy inverted coaster or an old-fashioned wooden one, a roller coaster will make for an exciting and memorable wedding.

You’ll have crazy wedding photos and hopefully it won’t be too symbolic of the future with your new spouse!
Roller coaster Wedding

Jerry and Leslie Fleming tied the knot in the most unusual way on May 23, 2008, when they decided to wed on top of the Voyage roller coaster at Holiday World in Santa Clause, Indiana.

The couple, who met on an online dating site, share a love of roller coasters, so marrying 160 feet above the ground was a dream come true for the pair.

To make the event even more memorable the Fleming’s had an Elvis impersonator officiate their roller coasting wedding.

As soon as the ceremony was over the couple began their life together finishing out the ride.

8)Ghetto Wedding

After seeing how people in the hood party or how a ghetto prom looks like, we’re going to see a happy couple join their destinies in this holy union that is marriage. Forget the tuxedo or the white tie, these guys have a different thing in mind. I’m not exactly sure what are they aiming by spray-painting their T-shirt but I guess they’re down.Ghetto Wedding

Akrit Jaswal Seven Year-Old Surgeon

Akrit Jaswal, India's smartest teen

Akrit Jaswal - The Genius Wonder Kid
Akrit Jaswal - Intelligent teen in Inida

Akrit Jaswal (born April 23, 1993) is an Indian adolescent who has been hailed as a child prodigy who has gained fame in his native India as a physician, despite never having attended medical school. He gained fame for performing surgery at the age of seven.[1] He is a Hindu Rajput of Jaswal clan from Punjab.

According to his mother Raksha Kumari Jaswal, Akrit was an early starter, skipped the toddler stage and started walking. He started speaking in his 10th month and was reading Shakespeare at the age of 5. At 7, he performed an operation on a 8 year old girl whose fingers were fused together after being burnt. Akrit developed a passion for science and anatomy at an early age. Doctors at local hospitals took notice and started allowing him to observe surgeries when he was 6 years old. Inspired by what he saw, Akrit read everything he could on the topic. When an impoverished family heard about his amazing abilities, they asked if he would operate on their daughter for free. Her surgery was a celebrated success.

After the surgery, Akrit was hailed as a medical genius in India. Neighbors and strangers flocked to him for advice and treatment. At age 11, Akrit was admitted to a Punjab University. He's the youngest student ever to attend an Indian university. That same year, he was also invited to London's famed Imperial College to exchange ideas with scientists on the cutting edge of medical research. Akrit says he has millions of medical ideas, but he's currently focused on developing a cure for cancer. "I've developed a concept called oral gene therapy on the basis of my research and my theories", he says, "I'm quite dedicated towards working on this mechanism."

Growing up, Akrit says he used to see cancer patients lying on the side of the road because they couldn't afford treatment or hospitals had no space for them. Now, he wants to use his intellect to ease their suffering. "[I've been] going to hospitals since the age of 6, so I have seen firsthand people suffering from pain," he says. "I get very sad, and so that's the main motive of my passion about medicine, my passion about cancer." Currently, Akrit is working toward a bachelor's degree in zoology, botany and chemistry. Someday, he hopes to continue his studies at Harvard University.[2]

He became India's youngest university student and is currently studying for a BSc in a Punjab University, Chandigarh, India. He possesses books such as Gray's Anatomy, and textbooks on surgery, anaesthesia, anatomy, physiology, cancer, and others. Akrit claims to have mastered them with his daily habit of studying for an hour.

He has an estimated IQ of 146 from a single test.[3]

Akrit Jaswal is considered to be a reincarnation in his local village. He is consulted by neighbours and people from surrounding areas regarding ailments, prescriptions and courses of treatments. He claims to have been working on a cure for cancer for several years, based on theories of oral gene therapy. However, his work towards a cure for cancer was criticised by British doctors and researchers since they claim his understanding on the topic was vague.

In his spare time, Akrit enjoys playing and watching cricket.

How to Ignite Your Creativity and Keep Its Flame Alive: 5 Key Steps

Creativity is a principle that governs everything visible and invisible around us -Creation. Creativity is Life Energy being constantly channeled and re-channeled, formed and transformed. It’s this very energy that created the first cell of our bodies and what keeps silently generating and re-generating all our cells every single second of our lives. Still, when asked if they are creative most people timidly say, “Oh no, I’m not”.

Oh yes you are! You simply don’t know it! You simply don’t give yourself credit for your creativity! Every time you tell your child a bed-time story and you embellish it with vivid details to make it as entertaining as possible, you are being creative. Every time you cook a meal, and add your personal touch to it, some special spice not included in the recipe, you are being creative. Every time you pick wild flowers to create a bouquet, you are being creative. Every time you hang a new painting or poster on your wall, you are being creative. Every time you send a greeting card and speak from your heart, you are being creative. Every time you buy a new blouse and imagine how well it will match and combine with your other clothes, you are being creative. Every time you manage to “stretch” your budget with some skillful handling, you are being creative. So, what if you decided to become aware of how creative you already are in your every day life? What if you allowed yourself to see what an artist, what an innovator, what an ingenious problem-solver you already are? What if you decided to consciously ignite and feed the flame of your creativity? What if you believed in your creativity and approached life with a creative attitude? Can you envision the impact this would have on the experienced quality of your life? Can you envision the expanded sense of self that might emerge?

Whether you are a “creative liver” and you just want to gain greater access to your creativity or take it to another level, or you are an artist or belong to some other profession which requires the creative use of your mind, there are five competencies and habits that you need to develop and cultivate:

Capturing. Capturing refers to preserving your ideas as they come, without judging them. Suppose you are planning your wedding and you want it to be special, unique, a memory to treasure in its every little detail. How can you go about it?

First of all, allow your ideas to take inspired form. Allow your feelings about the desired outcome to come to your aid, because those feelings are where your inspiration will come from. Ideas come at strange moments. They don’t come when you sit at your desk and say, “Well, now I am going to plan a gorgeous wedding”. Creativity opens up on its own much better when the mind is allowed to wander freely, when it is in “alpha state”, when you are daydreaming, imagining, losing yourself in your fantasy world.

Creative ideas are nebulous and fleeting and sometimes great ideas get lost just because we don’t have the habit of capturing them. So get into the habit of recording your ideas, as they come, the minute they come, if it’s at all possible. I have a little notepad and pen in each one of my purses. I definitely have a little notepad and pen in my beach bag, because that’s when my very best ideas come -sunbathing at the beach. I have a little notepad and pen on my bedside table, because sometimes ideas come in my sleep and wake me.

So be prepared, equip yourself with whatever recording device you prefer - notepads, your i-phone, audio recording devices, voicemail, electronic notepad on your computer- and record your ideas before they dissipate like clouds racing across the sky. Once you have recorded them, they have taken a more definite form. Later, when you examine them one by one, some will take an even more concrete form, some will be discarded, some will transform into a yet better idea.

Surrounding. Surrounding refers to including in your environment as many diverse stimuli as you can and changing them as often as possible. Pictures, screensavers, dream-boards, vision-boards -these are all great aids in stimulating your brain and accessing your creativity. Sometimes, we must shock our brains to generate some extra stimulation. Dr. Robert Epstein, an expert on creativity, says that if we put a Mickey Mouse hat and and pliers on our desk in the morning, our thinking will move in odd directions during the whole day. These distractions, however, are great
triggers of creativity. Once I was researching something on the Internet and I came across the phrase “something radical”. For some reason, it impressed me greatly, so I wrote it down on a piece of paper which I left on my desk, next to my computer. Several times a day, my eyes would fall on that piece of paper and I would ponder again and again the thought of “something radical”. Though I have not yet produced anything so radical I can boast about, I know that my mind was encouraged to move in radical directions for me, to try new things, to dare a little bit more.

Surrounding also refers to opening up yourselves to a diverse group of interesting people. If you are continually surrounded by people who are restrained or constricted about their creative abilities, you will not find appropriate
encouragement or role-models among them to help you spark your creativity.

Finally, surrounding refers to providing yourself with frequent breaks and changes of scenery. Most experts on creativity recommend “the twenty minute walk” as a very helpful aid in resting, refreshing and recharging our brains. Once you have begun working on your creative project, taking a break, removing yourself from your familiar environment, exposing yourself to a new set of stimuli can greatly increase the flow of your creativity. Just make sure you have your recording device with you when you take your walk, because that’s perhaps when your next great idea will come!

Challenging. Challenging refers to giving yourselves tough problems to solve and trying to stretch your problem-solving capacities. For example, it’s a good idea to make it a habit to solve puzzles or games. What happens when you do that, is that new neural interconnections are built every time you tackle something unusual or especially demanding which wakes up dormant areas of the brain. It does not matter if you manage to solve the puzzle or not. In fact, frustration can be a great motivator sometimes, and you may be surprised to find out that if you attempt to
solve the puzzle you failed at the first time around, the answer will be ready and will seem ridiculously obvious a few days later! More surprisingly, you may discover that the answer to a sticky detail of your project, also comes along with the answer to the puzzle. That’s the way the brain works!

Broadening. Broadening refers to exposing yourselves to as much information as possible on diverse subjects that may not have anything to do with your creative projects or endeavors. Experts on creativity suggest taking one college course per year on topics that do not directly relate to your profession or general interests. Once again, the process of shocking the brain by exposing it to new sorts of information, by creating new neural pathways for storing and processing this information greatly enhances your creative repertoire. Getting in touch with other cultures is also a great way of broadening your personal data base. Reading novels or poetry by foreign writers, tasting unusual foods, listening to unfamiliar music, learning ethnic dances, helps you open up to whole worlds that you were previously
unaware of and excites your subconscious by providing it with new sounds, ideas, symbols, images to play with.

Keeping a journal and recording your progress. Once you have captured your ideas and you are ready to explore or implement some of them, it’s important to break down your project into manageable pieces and record your progress. Get a notebook and devote a single page to every little piece, or sub-goal of your project. As you complete each one, don’t forget to reward and congratulate yourself on every small step you take. Put a check mark on each page every time you complete a task and write WELL DONE or WIN with big, bold letters! No matter how much support you may
have from friends, colleagues or family, your creative project is something very personal that no-one else can participate in as fully as you do. Support yourself in your effort! As you progress, as you learn how to get into “creative mode” more and more easily, more and more completely, as you learn to soar, you will also experience some “lows” - great sweeping waves of discouragement, doubt, fear “coming out of nowhere”. It’s normal. It’s part of the growth process. It’s your old self you are leaving behind creating a bit of resistance. Recording all the things you
have already done, leafing through your notebook and seeing all the steps you’ve taken, the distance you have covered since the moment of conception of your creative idea, how much you’ve grown, will help you turn those negative feelings around.

Everyone can establish these new processes and habits! The more you use them and incorporate them into your way of life, the more tuned-in you will become to your creativity, the more you will be able to nurture it and keep its flame alive.

We are fortunate, we have much more than what we need to be content.
Lets try not to feed this endless cycle of consumerism and immortality in which this ''modern and advanced'' society forgets and ignore the other two thirds of our brothers and sisters.

Tip #1 - Clear out the clutter.

Few things can make us feel as sluggish and confused as physical clutter can! If you can’t seem to find the motivation to get moving, grab a trash bag and an egg timer and set the timer for 15 minutes. Spend this time tossing out as much junk as you can. Get rid of empty food containers, unneeded notes and paperwork, empty envelopes, empty glasses or bottles, etc. Create a separate pile for anything that needs to be filed or sorted, and move it to another location. Don’t keep it within view unless it looks neat and orderly. After just 15 minutes of doing this, you should feel much more energized and clear-headed, ready to get started on any important tasks.

Tip #2 - Just begin.

It’s the start of any objective that is often the hardest for most of us, because we convince ourselves the task will be unpleasant or boring. However, you can trick yourself into believing that you’re only going to work on it for a few minutes. Grab that egg timer and set it for 15 minutes again. Promise yourself you can stop working after 15 minutes if you want to, but you have to work at least that long. Most often, after the 15 minutes are up, you’re already “in the groove” so you don’t want to stop!

Tip #3 - Push yourself harder.

If you think it will take an hour to finish a particular task or goal, make it your mission to finish it in 30 minutes. If you think you’re capable of a certain amount of productivity, push yourself to increase that output by at least half. Most of us have a terrible habit of coddling and pampering ourselves rather than pushing ourselves to be better and do better. Deciding to take it to the next level can motivate you to keep doing that and blast through any feelings of procrastination.

Tip #4 - Dress to the nines.

We often equate casual dress with more relaxed activities, so if you’re trying to accomplish something – dress up! Put on a business suit or somewhat formal outfit, including shoes and socks (or pantyhose). Do your hair, shave, and put on cologne or perfume – whatever you would normally do for a social or business event. This gets your mind into action mode and clears away any tendency to slack off.

Tip #5 - Visualize the end result.

We usually avoid working hard or pushing ourselves just for the sake of doing so, but if you focus on a positive benefit to completing your tasks you’ll feel more inclined to work on them. Set aside 10 minutes before you begin and imagine how you’ll feel when the job is done. Allow yourself to feel the feelings you’ll experience when you’ve accomplished what you set out to do – whether it’s satisfaction, pride, happiness, excitement, or simple relief. This gets the good feelings flowing and motivates you to do what it takes to create that experience “for real.”

Tip #6 - Give yourself a pep talk.

Sometimes our inner monologue is filled with negativity, which can reduce our desire to do anything. For example, you might have an inner recording telling you that working on your goals is a waste of time because you simply don’t have what it takes to succeed (you might not even be consciously aware of such a recording). If you counter that with a positive pep talk, it can give you the motivation to get moving. Imagine that you had to motivate your best friend. What would you say to him or her? Say those very same things to yourself and let yourself get inspired!

Tip #7 - S-t-r-e-t-c-h.

If you feel tense and irritable, stretching your body can do wonders for your mood. Take just a few minutes to warm up your muscles by marching in place or taking a short walk. Then take your time stretching your muscles very gently, holding each stretch for a few seconds. Start with your face and neck, and work your way down to your toes. As you work each area, imagine all stress and tension leaving your body, and a new sense of peace and happiness flowing in to replace it.

One tasted white truffles, another gingerbread. But the esteemed wine critics that gathered to taste the world's oldest Champagne were at least agreed on one thing: that they were enjoying the opportunity of a lifetime.

12 of the wine industry's top tasters had been given the rare chance to give their verdict on the world's oldest bottle of Champagne.

Only two bottles now remain of the Perrier-Jouët 1825 Vintage, recognised by The Guinness Book of Records as the oldest remaining Champagne in the world.

The world's oldest champagne, bottled in 1825

The tasters, which included Serena Sutcliffe, Head of the International Wine Department at Sotheby's, and Michel Bettane, France’s most celebrated wine critic, also sampled 20 other vintages from the Champagne house - though the 184-year-old vintage was undoubtedly the highlight.

'It is virtually impossible to assign a value to the 1825 vintage - we've never seen anything like it on the market,' said Ms Sutcliffe, who co-hosted the event. 'This was, quite simply, the opportunity of a lifetime tasting such exceptional, historic vintages.'

The occasion, to celebrate the launch of the Champagne house's first vintage of the 21st century, has been coined 'liquid history'.

The privileged group is said to have applauded as the Cellar Master Hervé Deschamps removed the cork from the bottle.

'It was very stressful,' he said. 'I was worried that the cork would break because it had never been changed. And I was afraid the Champagne would be undrinkable. But luckily, it was drinkable.'

In fact, it was more than drinkable. Mr Bettane deemed the Champagne 'unbelievable'.
'There were flavours of mushrooms, woods and a bit of honey,' he said.

In turn, Bernard Burtschy, wine critic for French newspaper Le Figaro tasted notes of gingerbread, lemon confit, 'and of the dead leaves which are the grey hairs of a wine which has aged,' he added.

Meanwhile Olivier Cavil, Director of Communications at Perrier-Jouët tasted white truffles and chocolate. 'Although there was only a hint of bubbles left it was perfectly fresh, the colour was fine and it resembled a very great chablis.'

The difference in opinions did not surprise Mr Cavil however. 'It is very difficult to be objective when you are submerged in emotions and this was a very emotional occasion indeed,' he said.

When the historic Champagne was bottled, George IV was on the British throne. The last King of France, Charles X, was crowned in 1825 at Reims Cathedral.

This is the terrifying moment a woman was attacked by a polar bear after jumping into its zoo enclosure.

The 32-year-old leapt over bars at Berlin Zoo during the bears' feeding time yesterday.

Despite six zookeepers' efforts to distract the four predators kept in the enclosure, the woman was bitten several times on her arms and legs.

Shocking attack: A woman was mauled by a bear after jumping into a enclosure at Berlin Zoo

The brave keepers eventually managed to push the Polar bear away and pull the woman to safety.

She was bitten by one of the four older polar bears in the enclosure and not by the famous Knut, who took Germany by storm as a cub after he was hand-raised by a keeper.

It is not known why the woman pulled the dangerous stunt but she initially appeared to be elated as she swam towards a bear in the enclosure.

It is not easy to access the enclosure, which is surrounded by a fence, a line of prickly hedges and a wall.

Heiner Kloes, a zoo spokesman, said keepers pushed the huge bear away before pulling the woman out.

She was taken to a hospital for treatment where she is now recovering after undergoing surgery to heal her wounds.
